Commissioned by the Museum as part of the BxMA Co-Lab dance series, Davalois Fearon Dance will perform As Above, As Below a new, site-specific choreography created in dialogue with Gordon Matta-Clark’s 1971 performance Tree Dance, as well as the inclusion of alchemic philosophy in both artists’ practice.

Costumes, wearable sculptures and make up by Jasmine Murrell.  Music by Mike McGinnis. Tree and leaves design by Myssi Robinson. Choreography by Davalois Fearon in collaboration with dancers.

4:00pm Gallery tour and performance in lobby

5:00pm Outdoor procession to Andrew Freedman Home* and performance

6:00pm Panel and reception with Davalois Fearon at the Museum’s XM Cafe with music, food and dancing!
